Bentley Lloyd Allen died Wednesday, May 11th, at age 69. Benny was born in Harlan, Kentucky to Clifford and Kathleen Allen, and grew up in Midwest City. He is survived by his children Lisa and Gary, and Scott and Claire; grandchildren Derek, Cassidy, Moses, and Ives; sisters Kay and Bob, Leslie and Alan, and Anna Sue and James; his sweetheart Jackie Groves, and many friends, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He is a second father and papa to many. Benny loved children and animals, sports and politics, electric guitar and telling stories. He was a teacher and coach at Steed and Parkview elementary schools before going into sales. He loved his country. He had beautiful eyes. He never met a stranger. He loved Jesus Christ and embodied grace and generosity. He spoiled us. He was amazing. Well done, good and faithful servant! Viewing at Vondel Smith Mortuary on Sunday from 1 – 8, Monday 4 – 8, and Tuesday morning from 9 – 11. Services will be held Tuesday, May 17th, at 1:00 pm at Church of the Servant, 14343 N. MacArthur Blvd.
