Obituary for Carol Louise Everaard (Oldham)

Carol Louise Everaard (Oldham)
Carol Louise Everaard died peacefully at home with her husband, Ron, at her side on May 29th at age of 72. Carol had gallantly and faithfully fought a 10 year battle against cancer. Carol is survived by her husband Ron Everaard, son Doug, and wife Jill Everaard and grandson Seth Everaard, of Mustang, Oklahoma; son Kent and wife Rachel Everaard and granddaughter Sophie Everaard of Houston, Texas; brother Ron and wife Roxanne Oldham of Sparks, NV. She was preceded in death by her father Paul and wife Millie Oldham, mother Evelyn Oldham, and grandson Grayson Everaard.
She worked in her early days after graduating Northeast High School in Oklahoma City as an Executive Assistant at OG&E. Then after devoting her efforts to raising two sons, she focused on caring for children at Methodist church as a Preschool Teacher in Mustang for 17 years. She devoted 12 years of volunteering at Mercy Hospital and local Mustang clinic with her husband. Throughout her life, she went on many traveling adventures with her husband all over the world. One of her favorite things in life was her comradery with her friends at the Nu Delta Women’s group. She wanted to give a special thanks to all of her close friends for their unwavering love and support.
Surviving family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful Dr. Michael J Keefer and his staff at Mercy Hospital, Mercy Hospice and care nurses at Providence Home Care.
She will always be remembered as a great wife, mother and grandmother, and a gracious giver of time and money to those in need. Her lasting legacy is a reminder to those that knew her that she would unselfishly help others without asking for anything in return.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Vondel Smith North Colonial Chapel. Donations can be made in Carol’s memory to Mercy Hospice, 4401 W. Memorial Rd. OKC, OK 73134 (405) 486-8600.
