Condolence From: Jeff and Kathie (Edwards) Kerr
Condolence: Dearest Helen and Family,

I was shocked, and saddened, to hear of Ernie's sudden passing on from Dave McCord. I worked for Ernie from January 1980 until August 1985, right before the company shut the plant down.

I hadn't seen him in so very long, and I'm so sad to know that it's now too late.

His love for all of you was very, very evident. Ernie was a good man...always going! It didn't seem like he could sit still for more than five minutes. He had a great sense of humor too. I enjoyed working for hôim.

May Our Precious Jesus surround all of you with His Strength, Love, Comfort, and Peace. May God also see to each and every need you may have at this time of sorrow and grieving....although we both know from experience that these never fully go away.

God Bless you all,
Much love in Christ Our Great and Almighty Lord and Savior,
Jeff and Kathie Kerr

Condolence: I graduated with Ernie. I always enjoyed his friendship. I remember having a crush on him in Junior High School. I'm pretty sure he would not have known that. Lots of great memories.

So sorry for your loss,

Joy Haggard Adams

Condolence: I graduated with Ernie from U.S. Grant. About 5 or 6 years later, I had an accident where I hit another car that rolled over. Ernie was the first one on the accident. He ran to my car to see if my passenger and I were okay. I told him to please check on the other car. He did so and basically took care of things. The next thing I knew, he was gone and I never saw him again. With no cell phones or social media, I could have never done anything in my mental shape. I have never forgotten and have told many people the story since then. Condolences to his family.

Condolence: I was in Ernie's graduating class at U S Grant. I haven't seen him since high school, but he looks very much the same. I remember him as friendly and always smiling and walking the halls wearing his letter jacket. Ah, we were all so innocent then.

At this age, most of us have lost someone precious in our lives; but it is never easy. The only salve is sharing memories with others who knew and loved him. Heartfelt concerns for all of you as you deal without his physical presence in your lives.
