Rick, 62, passed away suddenly on Oct 24, 2016. The son of Albert & Joan Pierce, Rick was born May 7, 1954 in Jersey City, NJ. A graduate of Cedar Ridge High School class of ‘72, Rick later began a career as a plumber & pipefitter for Merck Pharmaceutical and retired after 30 years of service. On March 9, 1974 Rick married his sweetheart, Deloris (Dede) Jean Swinesburg & shared 42 years of marriage & family together. Rick enjoyed boating with his family, he was a motorcycle enthusiast, but especially cherished the time he spent with his wife, daughters, grandchildren & friends. He will be remembered for his giving heart, lovable spirit and will be deeply missed by all. Preceded in death by his father, one brother, and one sister. He leaves behind his loving wife, Dede Pierce; daughters: Rachel Lee Resko & husband Jason, Dana Marie Soto & husband, Josue (Josh); five grandchildren: Alexa Resko; Elijah, Gabriella, Richard, Nehemiah Soto, baby Soto expected March 2017; mother, Joan Pierce; sisters: Jacqueline Silvay, Nancy Beretzki, and many other extended family & loving friends.
