Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday December 17 at the chapel at Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary at Southlakes with interment at 1:30 PM at Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK.


Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Soundra June Tumblson, a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at the age of 67. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, on January 18, 1949 to her parents, Eula (Donahoe) and Wayne Sanders. Soundra was raised in Oklahoma City with her sister, Jane and attended Grant High School. She married her soul mate of 50 years, Joel and raised two sons, Kenny and Joe. Family and friends were her true passion in life. She cherished her grandchildren Taylor, Sawyer and Jacob and welcomed her step-grandchildren with open arms. She was a true matriarch to a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and served as the glue that brought everyone together. Generous and kind, Soundra’s love of life and laughter will leave a great void in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents.

Soundra leaves cherished memories with her loving:
Husband of 50 years, Joel Tumblson, Sr.;
Son, Joel Tumblson, Jr.
Son, Kenny Tumblson;
Sister, Jane;
Grandchildren: Taylor, Sawyer, and Jacob;
