The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Gene Whittaker can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Marilyn,

I was saddened to hear of Gene's death. I will miss him at Epiphany bridge and sharing OSU stories with him. We both bled orange since I grew up in Stillwater, still have family there, and cheered for the Cowboys, too.

I will miss his good cheer and smile.

Take care of yourself and God Bless You!

Love,
Carolyn

Condolence: Marilyn, we are so sorry. Gene was a great friend. We started out to come to the service, but turned around because it was so bad. Wish we could have been there. I'll remember Gene every time I have a birthday. He always called and sang Happy Birthday song to me. What a great memory you must have as well. - Love and sympathy - Ann & Paul Long

Condolence: What a great loss this is to all. What I remember best about Gene is how he took care of his daughters. His daughter, Linda Jo Adamson, was my best friend growing up and until her death. I remember coming to her hospital room the day she was told of her biopsy report and there was Gene standing beside her, comforting her. Lots of memories of the home on Purdue & the restaurant (Whit's) where we spent a lot of time in our high school years. Praying God peace and comfort to Gayle and Josh and the other family members.
