Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the funeral home (6934 S. Western Ave).

Services to celebrate his life will be held at Rancho Village Baptist Church (1411 SW 38th Street, OKC, OK 73119) at 10:00 AM Friday, January 20, 2017.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.


Cecil Ray McKee was born July 10, 1952 on Connells Point, Arkansas, near Marvell, Arkansas.
Cecil started school in a two room school house on Connells point for one year. When they closed that school, he went to Good Luck Elementary at Watkins Corner, then to Marvell High school where he finished the eighth grade.

About that time he moved to Oklahoma City to work with the older sisters’ family construction business, known as Big Creek Construction. He held various jobs from time to time, one was at Glass Specialist, here in Oklahoma City. Later, because the breathing and nerve issues, he was declared disabled. Cecil lived his last few years in the country and considered it his solitary place. He enjoyed living there, where it was quiet and peaceful.

Cecil loved his church. The family of Rancho Village Baptist Church became his extended family. He became close friends with several and he loved being in Sunday school, and worshipping with them. He served, sang, and looked forward to every opportunity to come together.

Cecil was number 12 of a family of 15 children. He is preceded in death by his parents, Viola and David McKee; two brothers, Leon Ramona and Franklin Sinclair and one sister, Chloe.

He left behind 12 brother and sisters, Viola May Gaither, Juanita Miller, D W McKee, Dorothy Alan, Glenda Rackley, Ruth Ann McKee, Phyllis Holmes, Paul McKee, Floyd McKee, Mike McKee, and Sue Cooper.

Cecil has one daughter; Carrie, as well nieces, and nephews reaching to great and great great and even great great great nieces and nephews.
