Gig Parker (Dad) passed away February 8th, 2017 at the age of 74 surrounded by his loving family. Dad was born September 8th, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School where he met the love of his life, Margo Watson. He married his high school sweetheart in January of 1963. Mom and Dad were married for 48 years. Mom and Dad wasted no time starting their family. They had David and Gigi within three and a half years of taking their vows. Following in his father’s footsteps, Dad had a successful career with Halliburton Services for 35 years. He earned his Physics degree at Central State University in 1975 while dispatching nights at Halliburton. Upon receipt of his degree, he moved up the ladder briskly at Halliburton Services. 11 years after Gigi was born, Mom and Dad welcomed Erica into the family apparently saving all the talent genes for their final child! Mom and Dad retired in OKC where they enjoyed cherished moments with their friends, family, and their cabin at Lake Eufaula. His wit and charm, as well as his devotion to his family and friends, will be sorely missed.
