A few years after high school he enlisted in the U.S. Army and proudly served his country for over 5 years at which time he was medically retired. G.L. married Sue Tate in 1973 and they shared over 39 years of marriage together. He was always on the move as he was a freight truck driver. In the 60’s he worked for Kings Van and Storage moving company as an Owner/Operator. G.L. was a Teamster for over 50 years and drove for Time D.C., American Freight Lines and most recently Yellow Freight until his retirement in 2012. GL loved working outside in the yard.
