Visitation for Jerry will be held Thursday June 22 & Friday 23 from 4-8 PM. Services to celebrate his life will be Saturday, June 24 at 2PM at First Baptist Church of Moore (301 NE 27th Street).

Jerry Trent, 75, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 20, 2017. Heaven’s choir gained a beautiful bass voice and he is now singing praises to the father. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Jerry was born on January 16, 1942 in Hutchinson, Kansas to George and Floy Trent. He was the youngest of five children and graduated from Buhler High School in 1960. His early career started in law enforcement for the Kansas Highway Patrol. His love for people and his gift of “gab” then led him to his later career as a very talented salesman as well as many guest appearances as Santa Clause. On April 2nd of this year he and his wife Sharon celebrated twenty-nine years of marriage.


Jerry was preceded in death by his:

Parents George & Floy Trent;
two brothers;
and one sister.

Jerry leaves behind his loving:

Wife, Sharon, of the home;
Sister, Wanda Dannenfelser of Baltimore, Washington;
Sons, Jerry Trent of North Carolina, and Jeff Trent and wife Paige of Johns Creek, Georgia;
Step-sons, Richard Jones and wife Keri of Moore, Oklahoma, and Tom Jones and wife Jennifer of Frisco, Texas;
Step-daughter, Sherri Chabino and husband Danny of Norman, Oklahoma;
Grandchildren: Morganne, Mason, Candis, Paula, Tommy Dale, Lauren, Kristen, Austin, Dylan, Sophia and Annabella;
Great-Grandchildren, Liam, Penny, Josey and Selah;
& many other beloved family & friends.
