Barbara Ann Massey was born December 30, 1947 in Oklahoma City to Jack Raymond and Charlotte Marie (Barnett) Massey. She died Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Barbara graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1966 and attended OU and Central State College. Barbara had a care giver’s heart and compassion. She always volunteered to be the care giver when anyone in the family got sick or needed assistance. Barbara cared for her parents for 46 years. Barbara loved art and enjoyed making stained glass. She also loved to travel and traveled all over the world. She especially treasured taking her nieces on trips with her.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include:
• Her brother Bob and wife Sheila Massey
• Nieces, Alicia Peters and Teresa Iihara
• Nephews, Justin and wife Edna Massey, and Satoaki Iihara
• Cousins, Janie Hoover, Norene Hansen, Kathy Pruitt, Neil Farris and Mike Burner
• As well as many other relatives and friends

Barbara was a loving sister, cousin and most of all a loving and wonderful Aunt who will be missed by all that knew her.

For her the ocean was more than a dream, it was the place she needed to visit to find herself. And when she returned, you could see the sun in her eyes the breeze had danced in her hair and her soul was renewed.
