Obituary for Lorna Ynez Tetreault (Fields)

Lorna Ynez  Tetreault (Fields)
Viewing will be held 12 - 5 pm Sunday, July 30th at the funeral home with a rosary to follow at the church.

Rosary will be held 7:00 pm Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (3901 SW 29th).

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am Monday, July 31, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (3901 SW 29th) with burial to follow at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery (7500 W. Britton Rd)

Lorna Ynez Tetreault went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born January 5, 1926 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, Paul and Frances (Paxton) Fields. Lorna graduated from Classen High School and began her career in the retail industry. Lorna met Francis Edward Tetreault at the USO and later on June 1, 1947, they were united in marriage. Together they shared more than 67 years of marriage and watching their family grow. In addition to being a loving wife, devoted mother and doting grandmother, Lorna was a pillar in the community, active in Catholic Daughter’s Court #81, Loaves & Fishes, and Oklahoma Blood Institute. She received numerous awards for her services, including the President’s Volunteer Service Award and the Silver Award from the Oklahoma Blood Institute, and was recognized by the US Department of Justice for her countless hours of assistance during the Murrah Building bombing trials. A dedicated member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lorna will be deeply missed.

Lorna was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband, Francis Edward Tetreault;
Grandson, Michael Paul Tetreault;
Son-in-law, Jack L. Staubus, Jr.

She leaves behind her loving family:
Son, Paul Tetreault and his wife, Patty;
Daughter, Renee Staubus;
Son, Pete Tetreault and his wife, Susan;
6 Grandchildren;
7 Great Grandchildren;
Many other loving family and friends.
