Mass held at 10:30AM on Monday, September 11, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with burial following at Heritage Burial Park.

Young Ok (Yu) Yi, fondly known by her Catholic name, “Mary”, departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 07, 2017 at the age of 84. She was born May 12, 1933 in Seoul, South Korea. On November 17, 1953 she married Choong Mook Yi, fondly known as Joseph. This union of marriage was blessed with daughter, Kisuk and son, Kwang Cheol. The family moved to the United States and while her husband, Joseph owned and operated a chain of laundromats in New York City for many years, Mary dedicated her life to providing and loving home and raising the children. Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for many years. She was a hard worker, loving wife, devoted mother and adoring grandmother who will be deeply missed.

Mary was preceded in death by her:
Parents;
Husband of 63 years, Choong Mook “Joseph” Yi on March 18, 2017.

Mary is survived by her:
Daughter, Kisuk Mitchell
Son, Kwang Cheol Yi
Grandson, Nathaniel Edward Mitchell
Numerous other family and friends.
