Sylvah C. Thomas passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the age of 79. She was born on February 18, 1938 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents, Charles “Earl” and Sylvah “Marie” (Ferrier) Hoag. She was raised in south Oklahoma City with her brothers, Jimmy and Jerome. She attended Capitol Hill High School and was a “Rainbow Girl” during her time there. She worked her parent’s Root Beer stand and that’s where she first met her husband. She graduated in 1956 married the love of her life, Kenneth Ray Thomas on February 21, 1956. They were blessed with 4 children: Sylvah, Donna, Beverly and Kevin. Sylvah helped provide for her family by working at film row as a film inspector. She also owned and operated her own shop, Ceramic’s by Sylvah family’s along with her mother, Marie and daughter, Sylvah Jean, until the early 80’s. Sylvah loved spending time with her family and made some of her most precious memories with her grandkids, whom lovingly call her “Grams.” Sylvah’s love for her family was immense and her most cherished memories were made while spending time with them. She and her family went on a number of cruises together and she loved to travel. A couple of her favorite destinations she visited with her family were Canada, Niagra Falls and New York.
