Obituary for Wanda Louise Wickware (Dobbins)

Wanda Louise Wickware of Oklahoma City went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 28, 2017, at the age of 85. She was born April 26, 1932 in Elmore City, OK to P.W. and Ellen Dobbins. On May 27, 1948 she married the love of her life, Johnny Ray Wickware. Together Wanda and Ray raised two children, Ronnie and Daylene. Wanda worked for Western Electric for a number of years before she retired to focus on being the best wife, momma, and grandmother ever. She loved doing ceramics, gardening, cooking, travelling, fishing, and being Ray’s “right-hand man” in all of their various building projects including their lake house at Eufaula that they built together from the ground up. What Wanda loved the most was spending time with her family.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Ray of sixty-two years; son, Ronnie Wickware; 4 brothers, Roy Dobbins, Jody Dobbins, George Dobbins, & Bobby Dobbins; and 2 sisters, Pauline Huffman & Lorene Hadley.
She leaves behind her loving daughter, Daylene Hill & husband David of Little Axe, OK; 4 grandchildren, Angela Thompson of Oklahoma City, Markel Thompson & wife Daniella of Apache, OK, Jennifer Wickware of Oklahoma City, & Kristy Wickware of Oklahoma City; 3 great-grandchildren, Lacy Thompson, Kristen Thompson & Bailey Thompson; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Kyri, Brooklynn, and Kylie; 2 brothers, Richard Dobbins of Norman, OK, Dale Dobbins & wife Annette of Pauls Valley, OK; 2 sisters, Jane Ingram & husband Bob of Pauls Valley, OK, and Gracie Evans of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters-in-law, Faunda Dobbins and Shirley Dobbins; her furry side-kick, Rascal; and many other family and friends.
