Deloris Nadine (Baughman) Humphrey was born February 12, 1930 in Norman, OK the daughter of William Robert and Virginia “Virgie” Lowell (Johnson) Baughman. She completed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the age of 87.

Nadine graduated from Central State College (now UCO) with both her Bachelor and Master’s degrees. She was an educator having taught at Taft Junior High, Northwest Classen and Putnam City West High School. She retired with over 20 years of dedicated service. Her passion in life were her friends, her travels and her love of literature.

Nadine married Ethridge Milton Humphrey, Jr. on September 3, 1948. They were married for 51 years when he preceded her in death on May 19, 2000.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Humphrey and his wife, Jeanne Ambrosio of Meridian, ID and Rev. Bradley Humphrey and his wife Janie of Oklahoma City; her sister, Carol Ann Smith and her husband, LeRoy of Tuttle, OK; her grandchildren, Erin Buck and her husband Allen and Wesley Humphrey and his wife Beth; and her 6 great Grandchildren, Olivia, Sophia, Xander and Gus Buck and Hank and Luke Humphrey.

A memorial gathering will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd.
