Vermonia Jean Holland Loftis, lovingly known by all as Jean, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. The youngest of 13 children, she was born September 16, 1933 in Thomas, OK to Joe & Cecil Cosper. After attending high school, Jean married the love of her life, Virgle Holland, December 30, 1949 and spent many wonderful years together until his passing on June 13, 1994. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Delbert, Terry, and YuVonda. They were also dedicated members of the Assembly of God Church of Davenport. Later in life, Jean found love again with Guy Loftis, and they spent their golden years together until Guy’s passing on January 14, 2014. Jean was in Eastern Star for numerous years and also did much volunteer work in various hospice facilities. She dedicated her life to raising her family. Her passion was for cooking and her family & friends reaped the benefits; she ensured no one ever left her house hungry. Jean was known as a strong, fearless, beautiful woman who walked through life with style, grace, & a beautiful smile. As the matriarch of the family, she passed along to her children & grandchildren how to truly live & love. She was a precious wife, mother, & grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

6 great-grandchildren: Alyssa Ludi, Dalton Sikes, Gabriel Ludi, Cole Sikes, Jadyn Suthers, & Mason Sikes;
