Obituary for Anna F. Mount

Anna F. Mount
Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes

Anna Faye Mount
March 12, 1938 - March 9, 2018

Anna was born in Fanshawe, OK to Guy & Arlie Dodd. She was one of 11 children so growing up there was never a dull moment. She was named Annie Faye at birth by her mother but there was no birth certificate issued. Years later she changed her name to Anna Faye when she applied for an original birth certificate. Needless to say her mother was NOT pleased.

On August 5, 1955 she married the love of her life, Donal W. Mount and they were blessed with 5 children. They raised their family in Oklahoma City. Anna was a wonderful wife and homemaker. She worked hard to raise her children and be a strong role model. Anna and Don moved to Mustang in 1993, where they have stayed, and made a number of friends in the community.

Anna was an avid reader and enjoyed reading mysteries and romance novels and liked working on puzzles. She quilted for a number of years with her sisters and made many quilts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and also canned many items from her garden of which she shared with everyone. She and her family used to make trips to their lake place at Texoma and she loved fishing. For many years she and her sisters attended CMA Music Festival Fan Fair in Nashville and they made some great memories there.

Anna was a wonderful woman, mother, wife, sister and friend. Her presence on this earth will be missed but she will never be forgotten.
