Obituary for Frances "Dee" Aldridge

Frances "Dee" Aldridge
Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes

Visitation will be at Vondel Smith Mortuary at South Lakes Tuesday from 4-8pm with family greeting friends 6-8pm.

Services to celebrate her life will be held at 2PM on Wed. April 11, 2018 at Hillcrest Christian Church 1501 SW 59th St OKC, OK .

Frances “Dee”, also lovingly known as Nana went to be with her Lord and savior on Saturday at the age of 83. She was born in Batesville, Arkansas to Denvil & Opal (Pruitt) Leonard on January 9, 1935. When she was very young her family relocated to Oklahoma City where she spent the rest of her life. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1953 where she met the love of her life Bobby Joe Aldridge. On April 24, 1954 they were married in OKC at First Christian Church in Downtown OKC and enjoyed 64 years of marriage together. They were blessed with two sons Robert & Ronald. Dee did not go into the workforce but instead was an amazing homemaker for her family. She did often help her husband with various aspects of his paper supply business but mostly her main focus was providing a warm and loving home for Bob and the boys. She was a faithful member at Hillcrest Christian Church but due to health reasons had been unable to attend in recent years. Her warmth and bright personality will be missed but always be remembered by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Denvil and Opal. She is survived by her husband Bob Aldridge; sons, Robert Aldridge and wife Laura, Ronald Aldridge & wife Tena, sister, Carol Carter, grandchildren Greg Aldridge and wife Sarah, Mitchell Aldridge and wife Brittany, Cherish Aldridge & Nate Robb and one great grandchild, Lokey Robb.
