Melvin Dale Eakes passed away after a lengthy illness, on Friday, July 20, 2018 at the age of 81. He was born on July 21, 1936 in Pitcher, Oklahoma to his parents, Wiley Dalton and Gladys Frances (Jay) Eakes. Melvin worked his entire career at OPUBCO and retired after 42 years. He loved to travel in the RV, play card games and board games with friends, watch TV and square dancing. He will be deeply missed.
Melvin was preceded in death by his:
• Parents;
• 2 Sisters;
• Brother.
He leaves behind lasting memories with his:
• Wife of 20 years, Gay Lamar Eakes;
• Son: Ronnie Eakes, Rene Lamar & wife, Kathy and Reece Lamar & wife, Julie;
• Daughters: Tary Sondgerger, Shari Ramirez & husband, Anthony, Mickey Finner & husband, Dale;
• Sons - Rene Lamar and his wife, Kathy and Reece Lamar and his wife, Julie;
• Daughters : René Ogle and her husband, David and Renise Wood;
• 18 Grandchildren;
• 31 Great Grandchildren;
• 3 Great-Great Grandchildren;
• Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
