Brent Rogers, born to Leon “Buddy” & Edna Harbolt Rogers on May 31, 1943 in Madill, OK, was taken from us September 12, 2018 at the age of 75. We miss him. He will remain in our hearts forever. Our beloved Brent graduated from Sulphur H.S. and earned a degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He worked at Tinker AFB and then joined the FAA in 1974 where, before retiring in 2007, he rose to lead two teams of engineers responsible for customizing and supporting FAA’s global fleet of flight inspection aircraft that made flying safe for all of us. Brent himself was an accomplished pilot. Brent could build, modify or repair anything, and often to the chagrin of his two sons and others under his supervision, he was a perfectionist. He constructed and restored several homes including his meticulous residence in Greenbriar Kingswood. To buy or rent anything from Brent was to know everything was perfect. When he wasn’t fixing something, Brent enjoyed boating, watching OU football, and doting on his Siamese cat Harley. Brent was a devoted son, brother and father, a man known by his unfaltering commitment to the well-being of his children, family and friends. Brent was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mickey Rogers. He leaves behind his wife Cheryl Rogers; two sons: Greg Rogers & his wife Robin of Austin, TX and Christopher Rogers & his wife Heather of OKC; one daughter: Dr. Lauren Rogers & her fiancé Dr. Robert Aran of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren: Kali Rogers & her husband Andrew Solomon of West Hollywood, CA; and Eric Rogers and his wife Elizabeth Rogers of Washington, DC; one daughter-in-law Karil Rogers of Dallas, TX; and one sister-in-law Mary Nell Rogers of OKC. Brent also leaves behind many extended family and friends.
