Obituary for Delores Marie Miller (Vernon)

Delores Marie Miller entered into Eternity on September 17, 2018 in Norman, OK. She was born on June 11, 1937 in OKC, Oklahoma to her parents, Marion Lee Ibbotson and Edward Lacy Vernon. An accomplished artist, Delores graduated from college in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Commercial Art. She loved her family immensely & was a devoted mother, who served as a Boy Scout Leader for both of her sons and Girl Scouts Leader for both of her daughters. She was very active and enjoyed many hobbies such as painting, drawing, crocheting, gardening, scrapbooking, fishing, & solving word puzzles. A game lover extraordinaire, she was always up for any game that encouraged interaction. She faithfully served the Lord with all of her heart and was a beloved Sunday School Teacher and Coordinator for the children’s department at Hillcrest United Methodist Church where she enjoyed worshiping, fellowshipping and singing in the choir. A devout Christian, Delores accomplished the Walk of Emmaus through her church and it always held a meaningful place in her life. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her:
Son, Steven Ray Miller and his wife, Pat;
Daughter, Katherine Marie DeGraffenreid;
Daughter, Ivy Gayle Hoelscher and her husband, Mike;
Son, Paul Miller and his wife, Jeannie;
14 Grandchildren;
9 Great-Great Grandchildren;
Sister, Movita Rae Forrester of Augusta, Kansas;
Sister, Linda Kay Riesman of Atlanta, Georgia.
