Obituary for Robert Carlin Bestwick

Robert Carlin Bestwick passed away on September 25, 2018. Bob was born in Providence, Rhode Island on April 19,1939. He was baptized into the Congregational Church. Bob served in the Army from 1957 to 1960 and spent 13 months serving his country in Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents Noel and Lily Bestwick and son-in-law Bradley Walls.

Bob and Donna were married on July 16, 1960. They started C&S Plumbing in 1977 where Bob worked as plumber. Donna worked as the secretary for the business as well as being a homemaker. They were thankful for their many loyal customers whom they considered friends. Donna loved her church, visiting with the brethren, and talking with her niece Norma Earnest whom she considered and loved as a sister. Donna enjoyed caring for her home and cooking for her family. As with any grandmother, her delight was her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bob was a devoted husband, father, Gramps, and great Gramps. He was well known for his work ethic and wonderful sense of humor. Bob was a kindhearted and generous man who would help anyone in need. Bob and Donna were kind and loving people who will be missed by everyone who knew them.

Daughter, Susan Smith and her husband Rich;
Daughter, Cyndi Lewis and her husband Danny;
Grandchildren, Amy Stone and her husband Greg, Robby Walls, Rebecca Walls, Megan Oblander and her husband Strider, Brett Lewis and his wife Dallas, Bryan Lewis and his wife Jessica, Nick Smith and his wife Michelle;
Great grandchildren, Emily and Makenzie Stone, Danielle and Arielle Oblander, Joey, Brodie, and Brantley Lewis, coming soon Oaklyn Lewis;
And many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
