Virginia Lee Wisley, 94, passed away October 9, 2018 at Highland Home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was born on April 11, 1924 in Lindsay, OK to Tom and Lula Bell (English) Blakley. Virginia was part of a big family having a total of eight brothers and sisters. Her family loving referred to her as “Gina.” She met the love of her life, Ivan A. Wisley, shortly after he returned from WWII and they married on June 22, 1946 and enjoyed 62 wonderful years together. They were blessed with two daughters, Melinda and Lisa. Later, they were blessed with helping raise two grandchildren, Courtney and Chris Coker. Her greatest joy was her husband and family. Virginia’s husband, Ivan and daughter, Melinda both passed away in 2008. In 2013 she moved to Ponca City with her daughter & son in law Lisa & Brian. Just within the last 18 months, Brian had moved for work and they all three became Mississippi transplants. Although she is not here any longer her legacy will remain in the stories and memories her family and friends hold onto so dearly.
