Gladys was born in Chicago on September 6, 1922. She met the love of her life, Howard Hicks, who was her supervisor at Western Electric in Chicago. They then moved to Oklahoma in 1958 when he was transferred here to the New Western Electric.
She made many, many friends and was soon in bridge clubs and penny poker. She was an avid OU fan and supporter, having season tickets for over 30 years. She was also very involved with Salvation Army, often ringing the bell during Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Howard; son Craig Hicks; and daughter Judy Milan. She is survived by daughters, Kim Morgan and Karen Booth; daughter -in-law Karen Hicks; grand-daughter Tracy Thompson; great grand-daughter Kaitlyn Thompson; great grandson Christopher Ward; and great grandson Colby Thompson.
She will be remembered as a loving, kind wife, mother and grandmother.
The family wishes to thank Dorset Memory Care Hospice and staff for their kind and loving care.
The family will hold a private service.
