Markers and Monuments

All approved monument dealers agree to set monuments in adherence to all rules and regulations set forth by cemetery. Approved monument dealers must have on file with cemetery signed Memorial and Monument Agreement. All monument dealers must have on file proper liability insurance verification. If any fault resulting from the setting of any monument by monument dealer develops, such fault will be rectified by the dealer without the cost to Cemetery, or any other person. If any fault resulting from improper material, finishing, or lettering develops, the faulty monument will be corrected or replaced by its dealer or manufacturer without cost to Cemetery or any other person.

All memorials must be made of the highest quality standard bronze approved by the cemetery except in the upright monument garden where all monuments shall be made of granite. All flush bronze markers must be set on a solid granite base which must frame the bronze by a minimum of 2” around the entire marker. All granite bases will be a minimum of 4” thick. Bronze memorials will be set 2” above grade. No concrete bases will be allowed for bronze markers.
Although cemetery makes every effort to maintain security of the grounds, including gates, surveillance cameras, and natural boundaries, cemetery will not be held responsible for any acts of vandalism, theft, or acts of God, which may be perpetrated to any monuments or markers.



Strategies & Plans

The cemetery shall have the authority to reject any memorial that, on account of its size, type, design, inscription, quality, color or method of construction is unsuitable for the particular lot or grave on which it is to be placed. The cemetery reserves the right to prevent the placing or to remove any marker or other objects that do not comply with the standards of the cemetery. 
Single upright monuments are prohibited in Cemetery.

All fees or encumbrances due on a lot must be paid in full prior to any memorial being placed on the lot, including any installation fee.

Bronze corner markers are allowed on all lots with a minimum of two spaces and must be installed at grade level.

In the event a memorial is placed where it is necessary to remove it for an interment or disinterment, the cemetery shall have the right to remove such memorial without notice to the lot owner.

The cemetery may, at its own expense, without any liability, correct any error that may occur in the placing of a foundation or memorial.

Monuments shall be set in accordance with the general plan of the cemetery. In the monument section of the cemetery, not more than two memorials may be placed on a grave, which includes the primary monument placed in the monument easement. Foot markers used in conjunction with family memorials will be permitted on plot of two graves or more. All foot markers must be set 2” above grade. Foot markers must be made of granite and shall not exceed 28” by 16” unless otherwise approved by the cemetery. Flush bronze gardens are limited to one memorial per space.

Photographs and porcelain material may be incorporated into any memorial, upon approval by the cemetery. No protective glass or breakable material of any kind will be allowed on the memorial.

Monument base cannot exceed 60 inches or an eight foot maximum for family estates of four lots. The tablet of monument must be at least six inches thick. The base and tablet together cannot exceed five feet in height. Foundation of monument shall be two feet in width which will include a minimum apron of four inches around the entire base of monument. Foundation shall be constructed of concrete being a minimum of four inches thick. All foundations must be set flush with the ground. If any fault resulting from improper installation of foundation by a Memorial Service Contractor develops at any time after date of installation, the installer of such foundation shall rectify the condition without cost to others. 
For the purpose of these regulations, width shall be defined as the head of the grave space to the foot lot line. Length shall be defined as left side of space to right side of space while standing at the head of the lot.

The Cemetery shall not be liable for defective workmanship, defective materials, incorrect inscriptions or incorrect locations in connection with memorials, monuments, or foundations, or the installation thereof.

All memorials installed or placed in the Cemetery shall remain the personal property of the person who purchased the memorial. At no time shall any memorial become the property of the Cemetery, nor shall the Cemetery be responsible for insuring any memorial.

Estate Benches are prohibited except in areas which are designated as Bench Right Estates. Memorial benches may not exceed six feet in total width including any vases or ornamentation attached. Bench may not exceed thirty six inches in overall height including affixed vases. Bench may not exceed twenty four inches in overall depth. Cemetery reserves the right to reject any design at its sole discretion. Cemetery must approve all bench designs prior to installation.
