Charles William Imes was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the age of 64. He was born January 5, 1947 in Checotah, Oklahoma to his parents, Imogene and Norman Kerr Imes, Sr. A resident of the Oklahoma City area since 1962, Charles was an active member of the community. He worked as a Director of Information Technology for Chesapeake Energy for many years. He also involved with the OBSE (Oklahoman’s for Better Science Education) and the OCPAC (Oklahoma Conservative Political Action Committee) and served as co-pastor of New Covenant Bible Church. On March 25, 1967, he married the love of his life, Rema Jean Bray and together shared more than 44 years of marriage and raising a family. After a lengthy illness, Charles received a heart transplant for April 2009. The extended years gave Charles many precious memories. Charles was a loving husband, devoted father and doting grandfather. He will be deeply missed.

Brother, Dr. Norman K. Imes, Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Nichols Hills, OK;
Brother, Allen Imes and wife, JoAnn of Moore, OK;
Brother, Mark Imes and wife, Mavis of Midwest City, OK;
Sister, Sharon Macha and husband, Rich Monroe of Houston, TX;
Sister, Ellen Side and husband, Ellie of San Antonio, TX;
Sister, Tabitha Cole and husband, Ron of OKC;
Sister Martha Pennel & husband, Mike of Muskogee, OK;
Grandson, Jonathan Charles Imes;
Countless other loving family and friends.
