A great man

A friend recommended Ken to me when my son, a senior, in high school got into some trouble. It was his first time in trouble, but it was bad enough to be arrested. He was a juvenile (17) and a good kid, but made a bad mistake in judgment and let anger take over. I was beside myself with worry - not knowing what to do. Ken took time out on a Saturday morning to talk to my son alone and explain to him the consequences of his actions. He also wanted to see what kind of boy he was before representing him. He called to tell me I had a good boy who made a bad decision. He said he would represent him in court. I didn't have much money and asked about the fee and he said how about $600 as a retainer. I had previously been quoted $1900 - just to start.... Ken represented my son well who went on to college, got his degree and is a great man today. He paid his fine, did community service. After it was all over, I remember I asked Ken how much I owed him and he said, "How much did you pay me for the retainer?" I said, "$600". He said, "I think that's plenty." If you would like to do more, you can make a donation to the "Make a Wish Foundation." I live in Ohio now. My son who got into trouble? He is 31 now and married for the first time last week to a wonderful lady who has a 2 year old son. He wanted to go to the Nances' for help in adopting the boy and that is how I found that Ken had passed. I'm so very sorry for your loss. OKC lost a great man....one to I will be forever grateful to. Ken, may the angels take special care of you!
