Bettylu “Nana” Stephenson Zeh, a resident of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014, after a brief illness. She was 92 years old. Nana was born May 18, 1921 in Omega, Oklahoma to her parents, Charles and Sarah (Fleming) Vohs. Bettylu earned an undergraduate degree in teaching and a master’s degree in special education from Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma. She taught fifth grade for 18 years in Watonga, Oklahoma before retiring. An avid and accomplished gardener, Bettylu brought color and beauty to every home she lived in and everyone fortunate enough to know her. She credited her longevity to a diet rich in the vegetables she grew and the excellent care she received from her beloved longtime caregiver, Deise Sousa.
She was preceded in death by her:
Parents, Charles and Nettie Vohs;
First husband, Ural Stephenson;
Second husband, Bill Zeh;
Daughter, Carolee Stephenson;
Step-daughter. Mary Jo Wall.
She is survived by her:
Son, Bruce Stephenson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma;
Granddaughter, Staci McGranaghan and her husband Michael of Pflugerville, Texas;
Step-son, Al Zeh and his wife, Jane Zeh of Reston, Virginia;
Step-son, Billy Zeh of Brunswick, Georgia;
Granddaughter, Karen Wall and her husband, John Bush of Bayville, New Jersey; Grandson, Chris Wall and his wife, Lori Wall of Beachwood, New Jersey; Granddaughter, Grace Zeh of Chantilly, Virginia;
Granddaughter, Maggie Zeh of Reston, Virginia;
Grandson, Reid Zeh and his wife, Kristine Zeh of Saint Simons Island, Georgia; Grandson, Brian Zeh of Saint Simons Island, Georgia;
Granddaughter, Katey Zeh and her husband, Matthew Todd of Cary, North Carolina;
Five great grandchildren;
And many more relatives and friends.
