Bernice, 95, entered Heaven’s gates on March 21, 2017. The daughter of Dewey & Gladys Gray, Bernice was born April 25, 1921 in Dover, OK. Bernice graduated from Hinton High School in 1938. She married her sweetheart, Charles Gastineau, Sr. on Sept 1, 1941 & together shared nearly 40 years of marriage & raising their 5 children until his passing on Jan 1, 1981. In addition to being a loving wife & devoted mother & grandmother, Bernice also worked as a bookkeeper for RGDC Architect Firm for many years. After her first husband’s passing, Bernice later married T.D. Northern on Feb 26, 1986 & shared nearly 20 years of marriage until his death in 2004. Bernice was an active member of the Midwest City Moose Lodge. She loved to dance when she was able and loved music with all her heart. She was a long time member at Sunny Lane Methodist Church and loved her devoted church family. Bernice will be remembered for her kindness, positive outlook on life and her genuine Christian values. She will be deeply missed each day.

Preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Gastineau, Jr.; husbands: Charles Gastineau, Sr.; & T.D. Northern; son-in-law, Jim Goforth; sisters: Eleanor Moyer & Mildred Kelly; and granddaughter, Dawn Renee Goforth. Bernice leaves behind her loving family: daughters, Char Kozak & husband, Frank, Susie Goforth, & Loretta Colley & husband, Tim; son, Steve Gastineau & wife, Dee Ann; sister, Dorothy Millirons; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and many extended loving family & friends. The family would like to thank Heavenly Hospice for their love and support during these last few months. Viewing and visitation will be 3-5PM Friday with the family present to greet friends. Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Moore City Cemetery.
