Bobbye Christina, was born on March 28, 1929 in Graham, Texas. She was the only child of Olan C. and Eunice (Atwood) Clark, who both preceded her in death. Bobbye met the love of her life Joseph Louis Brezny and they were married in 1952 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Prague, Oklahoma. They shared 56 years of marriage before Joe passed away March 19, 2008. Our little lady was a dynamo, a devoted and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Bobbye felt being a mother was a privilege and considered motherhood to be her greatest accomplishment. She was involved in her children’s activities as leader in Camp Fire Girls & Cub Scout’s, and was the PTA President at two schools. She was incredibly supportive and proud of her children, and later her four grandsons. A homemaker while raising her family, Bobbye returned to the grocery industry with Safeway and retired in 1992. As an active member of Sacred Heart and later St. James Catholic Churches, Bobbye was a member of the St. James Altar Society and the St. James Infant of Prague Guild. Bobbye will be remembered for her photographic memory, love of history, quick wit, independence, vivaciousness, and a remarkable ability to talk for hours on end. She had a smile and “hello” for everyone, therefore, she never met a stranger. Bobbye had a passion for sports and followed college football and basketball, golf and the NBA. Her schedule revolved around cheering for the Thunder and her children and grandchildren’s alma maters OU, OSU, UCLA, Pepperdine and California-UC Berkeley.
Bobbye is survived by her daughter Vicki Brezny McLoon, her husband Daniel, and their sons Matthew & Andrew of Holmby Hills, California. She is also survived by her son Richard (Rick) Joseph Brezny, his wife Kay, and their sons Clark & Christopher of Oklahoma City.
We would like to thank Mother’s “Angels” Clark Brezny, Brittney Reames, Helen Wolf & Debbie Goodson. We also thank her caring neighbors Ray Rowe, Jean Knowlton, Tom Hanson, & Dwight Hogue. In Lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Catholic Charities or the charity of your choice.
