Eule Gene Gibson went to be with Lord on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the age of 83. He was born January 11, 1934 in Shawnee, OK to Earl Isaac & Clella Rosetta Gibson. He was raised in Gotebo, OK. graduating from Gotebo High School. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley Rowena Leiphardt, on September 15, 1956 in Gotebo, Oklahoma. Together they shared 46 ½ half years of marriage until her death on January 29, 2003. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army & following his discharge he attended O.C.U. where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Shortly after graduating from O.C.U., Gene accepted a position with Kerr-McGee Chemical Corporation, where he worked until retiring in 1994. Gene was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and worshiped for 50 years at Mayridge Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher, director & greeter. He devoted his life to serving his Lord & providing for his family & will be forever remembered for his steadfast & abiding love for both.
