Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 in the South Lakes Chapel

Sybil, 91, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Aug 26, 2017. The daughter of Marvin Lee & Adlee Virginia (Hill) Watkins, Sybil was born June 24, 1926 in Crossett, Arkansas. After graduating from Crossett High School, Sybil continued her education at Oklahoma City Community College where she became an LPN and worked as an OBGYN nurse at Dr. William Crittendons’ Clinic for many years. She married her sweetheart, William H. Barnes on Sept, 15 1946 and shared more than 55 years of marriage and raising their family. In addition to being a loving wife and devoted mother, Sybil enjoyed such hobbies as cooking, sewing, camping and volunteering, but most of all being with her family. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband,
2 sisters: Naomi Barnard & Martha Kirkpatrick
2 brothers; Ralph and Durwood Doss.

Sybil leaves cherished memories with her family:

John Ashley Barnes;
Daughter, Donna L. Newsom & husband, Donald;

5 grandchildren: Julie Geren & husband, Steve,

& Marian Barnes;
4 great grandchildren
And numerous loving family & friends.
