Mary Evelyn Sparkman entered Heaven’s gates on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the 79. Evelyn was born November 24, 1937 in Dexter, New Mexico to her parents, Mary Jo (Brooks) and Jesse Monroe Sanders, the oldest of five daughters. After her mother passed away, Evelyn became the caregiver to her four younger sisters. On August 1, 1953, Evelyn married her lifelong sweetheart, Ronald A. Sparkman in Carrizozo, New Mexico. Evelyn and Ron were blessed with five children and together they enjoyed watching their family grow year after year. Evelyn was a loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother and dedicated homemaker who always put the needs of others before herself.
