Patsy Mae James passed peacefully from this world on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the age of 87. She was born November 14, 1929, in Moline, Illinois, an only child to Ella Mae (Freeling) Stribling of Lindsay, Oklahoma and Truitt Davis Stribling, Wynnewood, Oklahoma. The young family returned to Lindsay, Oklahoma at the beginning of the Great Depression to be nearer family and friends. Patsy graduated from Lindsay High School on May 13, 1947 and she married, her sweetheart, Gilbert Wayne James the very next day on May 14, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. In 1948, the young couple moved to Oklahoma City to begin their new city life. They began attending Southside Faith Tabernacle in south Oklahoma City, where they became very involved in church and made many dear life-long friends. Two children were born to this couple. Patsy worked at Tinker Air Force Base, the Oklahoma Bar Association, General Electric, Control Data and Seagate. She retired as an Executive Secretary at Seagate. Patsy enjoyed her work and she was a very loyal employee and dear friend. Patsy brought peace, joy and happiness to our family. To know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by our family and many dear friends. Well done our dearest Mother. We will meet you and Dad at the Gate of Heaven on that Glorious Day. Patsy was a loving wife, awesome mother, and an incredible Nana and Gigi.
