Steven Oliver Kuechenmesiter went home on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the age of 65. The son of Wilbert and Doris (Duechert) Kuechenmeister, Steven was born on October 19, 1952 in St Louis, Missouri. Steven grew up in St Louis, Missouri but during his senior year of high school, his family moved to Jacksonville, Florida where he graduated from Ribault High School in 1970. Steven continued his education at Jacksonville State University where he earned his Associates degree in History in 1974. He began working for Venture stores in Missouri in 1979 and was relocated in 1983 to the Oklahoma City area where he worked until his retirement in 1991 from the Oklahoma City branch. Steven later owned and operated his own medical billing company. He married his sweetheart, Janelle Thompson on November 10, 1973 and they were blessed with a daughter, Kim. An avid sports fan, Steven’s favorites teams were the Missouri Tigers, OU Sooners, St. Louis Cardinals and the Oklahoma City Thunder. He and his family were charter members of St. Andrews United Methodist Church and were active throughout the years. Steven will be remembered for his quiet humor, generosity, and his “Cheshire Cat” like smile and will be deeply missed each day.

He was preceded in death by his:
Parents;
Brother, David Kuechenmeister;
Sister, Lois Vordtriede.

He leaves behind his loving family:
Wife of nearly 44 years, Janelle Kuechenmeister;
Daughter, Kim Podszebka and her husband, Gene;
Grandson, William Gregory Podszebka;
Mother-In-Law Norma Thompson;
As well as many extended family and friends.
