Obituary for Virgil E. Ingraham

Virgil E. Ingraham passed from earth after a full happy 81 years of life. He was born March 11, 1936 in Oklahoma City to Claude and Florence Ingraham. He loved life, loved family, loved friends, and he valued each unconditionally and could accomplish just about anything he set his mind to. He attended school and graduated at Mt. Saint Mary’s Catholic High School, where his major was giving the sisters a hard time. He carried this tradition through the rest of his. Handyman by trade, he worked in his dad’s business Ingraham Electric Repair shop prior to entering the United States Air Force on November 12, 1956. Upon his return from the Air Force, he continued work at his dad’s business, until he obtained employment with AT&T in which he worked until retirement after 30+ years. He married Patricia Keenan in Nov. 1963 and had three children. His hobbies included: woodworking, fixing just about anything, traveling, country music and founding Charter Members of the Oklahoma Rodeo Opry.

Virgil was preceded in death by his:
Parents, Claude and Florence Ingraham;
First wife, Patricia Ingraham;
Daughter-in-law, Kendra Ingraham;
Granddaughter, Tia Ingraham.

He is survived by his:
Twin sisters, Mary Young of OKC and Joan Schwartz of Moore, OK;
Son, Richard Ingraham and daughter-in-law, Kathy from Abilene, TX;
Daughter, Michelle Gray of Edmond, OK;
Son, Virgil Ingraham of Yukon;
4 Grandchildren: Recie Ingraham, Payton Ingraham, Kyle Gipson and Kristen Gipson;
One great grandson (on the way) of Abilene, TX.
