Tommie was born in Tuscaloosa, AL. She moved to Purcell, OK in 1946 and came to Oklahoma City in 1953. Her life was an instrument of love, laughter, and generosity. Through her faith and God’s grace, she approached all of life’s rewards and challenges with unlimited enthusiasm and miraculous courage. “Nanny”, as her grandchildren and later as many of her friends knew her, enriched the lives of countless people. She was a member of Southwest Baptist Church, where her heart and joy was the Real Peoples Sunday School class. She will always be remembered for her constant support at her grandchildren & great-grandchildren’s sporting and other events. Nanny loved to spend time in her kitchen and yard. Flowers were one of her passions. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, & 6 brothers. Her daughter, Loretta Campbell, also preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Bowerman & husband Don, and Janis Booton; son-in-law, Ernie Campbell; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; & 1 great-great-grandchild.
