Obituary for Paul David Veenker

PAUL DAVID VEENKER (1956 – 2018)

Paul David Veenker, beloved father, son, and good friend to many, passed into Heaven on February 2, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Paul was born in Dallas, Texas to Don and Doris Veenker on September 24, 1956.

Paul is survived by his partner/wife of 26 years, Kim; sons Landon Veenker (14yrs old) and Logan Veenker (7yrs old). Paul’s adult children Alexandra Veenker (Alex), David Veenker and step-son Jordan Phillips all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His brothers John Veenker and wife Helen, Mark Veenker and wife Roylene and sister Mary Dreesen and husband Michael all of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Paul is also survived by his mother Doris Veenker of Sand Springs, Oklahoma and was proceeded in death by his father Don Veenker.

Paul grew up between Dallas and Oklahoma City and attended Putnam City High School where he played baseball and football. When Paul was 17 years old he worked on the infamous Kansas City Railroad Tracks. Paul loved to work on cars at a young age. He could break down a car engine and easily rebuild it. After high school Paul attended the University of Oklahoma and started his first job with Star Jet which introduced him to the oil industry. He founded his first company Veenker Resources, Inc in Oklahoma City which today is a successful oil and gas company servicing Oklahoma and Kansas.

Paul was an avid sports enthusiast who held seasons tickets for the OU Sooners Football, Dallas Cowboys, OKC Thunder and Kentucky Derby. He also loved attending both NASCAR and INDY Races.
Paul was full of life and zest and was constantly moving and grooving. He had a love for people and travel. He never met a stranger along his journey. Everything he did was meaningful and memorable. He touched many lives with his kind generous heart. He was a lover and he cherished his time traveling and showing his family and friends the world. He lived everyday if it was his last with no regrets.

Paul, we are all grateful for every moment spent with you and will treasure all the incredible memories too! We will miss you dearly but are comforted knowing you are with our Heavenly Father looking down smiling upon us. We love you more than you know and you will live in our hearts forever!
