Obituary for Maria Rafaela Rangel-Rodriguez

Maria Rafaela Rangel-Rodriguez went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 65. Maria was born October 24, 1952 in Hoya Del Sabino, Mexico, to her parents, Marcos Rangel and Maria Lucas Rodriguez. Growing up in Mexico, Maria had many experiences that shaped her into a wonderful woman. When she was old enough she began working to help support her parents.
In 1977, Maria moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was 7 months pregnant with her first daughter. Her family was very important to her and providing for her children was at the top of her list, so she found work shortly after moving to Oklahoma City. A few years later, Maria began working in the dry cleaning industry and would continue to do so for over 35 years. She worked for a number of different dry cleaning companies but for the past 15 years she was with All Pro Cleaners and made many lasting friendships during her employment there. She was so dedicated that she worked up until the very end. Her last day of work was the day she was hospitalized. When Maria wasn’t working, she lived a very simple life. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch with her cat by her side. As mentioned earlier, Maria loved her family dearly. Her best memories were made spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a nickname for most of her grandkids, never calling them by their given name. Maria was a kind soul and touched many lives during her time on this earth. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
