The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Vernon Clanahan can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Gilbert Buenrostro and Cindy Buenrostro

My wife Cindy and I send our sincere condolences to Glen's entire family. I first met Glen in 1972 and he reviewed my first exam report as a Federal Savings and Loan examiner. I was assigned to Lubbock Texas in 1974, along with Glen as my boss and one other examiner. I remained close to Glen throughout my career and I retired in 2008. For the next ten years I called Glen almost everyday and we always had something to talk about (family, sports, politics, the good old days and just life in general). Glen was a great boss and a great friend. He was a very smart guy and his age never seemed to alter his ability to think smart (I was amazed). Next to the passing of my parents I will miss Glen the most. Forty five years is a long time to know someone and it will be very hard not to be able to make that call anymore. Rest in peace in Glen. It was a great pleasure to have known you and you will be missed.
