Surrounded by her family, Colleen, 89, peacefully went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2018. Born and raised in Oklahoma City to parents Irl and Evie Pooler, Colleen graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1947. In 1950, Colleen married the love of her life Del Rosebrook, raising five children and sharing 40 years together until his death in 1990. Steadfast in her faith, Colleen was passionately devoted to her family and the Lord. A long-time member of Trinity Church of the Nazarene, she served on the Benevolence Committee, which provided funeral dinners in times of need.

Creative and entrepreneurial, Colleen explored many opportunities as she worked from home, including directing the Jr. Arts and Crafts department at the Oklahoma State Fair for 25 years, volunteering in both Scouting and Camp Fire, and receiving the highest honors for volunteers in both organizations. Whether it was volunteering, writing poetry, crocheting, baking or more, Colleen was never idle. With artistic precision, she impressed all with her beautiful cakes and confections – baking true works of art for children’s and grandchildren’s birthdays and weddings. Always generous, always kind, always loving — a true Proverbs 31 woman who exemplified leadership through service and action.

Since 2015, Colleen was loved and well-cared for at Village on the Park Memory Care. Through it all, she never lost her gentle spirit and sweet, sweet smile. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband Del Rosebrook, and her daughter, Keri Rosebrook-Weuste, and is survived by her children: Collin and Rita Rosebrook, Pati and Randy Thurman, Mila and Bruce Martin, and Ron and Bonnie Rosebrook; and grandchildren, David and Emily Gabehart-Weuste, Loren and Danyel Rosebrook, Cāna Rosebrook, Brian Rosebrook, Kathleen Rosebrook, Brook Martin, and Levi Thurman; and great-grandchildren, Linkon, Everly, and Lāel Rosebrook.
