Leta Joy (Johnston) Epperson was born January 28, 1944 in Shidler, OK the daughter of Cloise Jefferson and Frances Monroe (Owens) Jefferson. She completed this life at her home on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at the age of 74.

Leta grew up in Ponca City where she graduated from high school in 1962. She married Clifford Grant Epperson on December 31, 1962 in Oklahoma City. In 1972 she and Cliff opened Epperson Photo-Video which they operated in two different locations until their retirement in 2012. Leta was an avid perfume bottle collector and was an active member of the International Perfume Bottle Association. She was also an avid gardener.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sharon Helems.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Cliff; her daughter, daughter, Sonya Epperson of Edmond; her brother Jack Johnston and his wife Carol of Newkirk, OK; her brother-in-law, Garland Helems of Ponca City, OK.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11th in the Vondel Smith Mortuary North Chapel, 13125 N. MacArthur Blvd. with interment in Memorial Park Cemetery.
