The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Virl Allen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Hallee
Condolence: I am so sorry for the family’s loss. It’s hard to imagine death being nonexistent. May you find comfort however, from the future promise recorded in Revelation 21:4 which says “he [God] will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more.”

Condolence: Heartfelt sympathy to Mrs. Allen's family. I have so many fond memories from the era of our lives spent at Knob Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Allen is dancing with joy alongside my parents as they worship our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. May you be comforted in knowing that you will see your parents again when you get there.

Condolence: Virl was one of the best high school secretaries around. As one of the Western Heights High School administrators, I had the pleasure of working with Virl for many years. Many of the tasks done by computers today, Virl "did by hand" and did with great accuracy!! She was the first person seen in our HS office and she welcomed everyone with a beautiful smile & helpful heart. An occasional student fight, a bogus bomb threat call--"nothing" ruffled Virl. She treated everyone like family. They don't make them like Virl anymore.
