Daniel Jay Webster was born November 1, 1949 in Bremerton, Washington. He was named Reginald Stanley Andrews. However, he and his younger biological sister were adopted by Doug and Juanita Webster. Daniel grew up in Louisiana, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma. He graduated from Idabel Gray High School in 1968. Following high school, he attended Southeastern State College in Durant, Oklahoma. After his freshman year, Daniel enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He was stationed at Memphis Naval Air Station where he graduated from “A” school specializing in electronics. After the Navy, Daniel returned to Southeastern for one year. In 1973, he obtained a summer job in Macon, Georgia working for the National Park Service. He later enrolled in Vo-Tech school to further his education in electronics. In 1974, he met Agnes (Pinky) Kinney through a chance meeting at a laundromat. Daniel, who loved clothes, took up an entire row of washers. They married May 14, 1975 at the Bibb County Court House. Daniel and Pinky had two children, Conchate and Kelli. In 1979, they moved back Oklahoma so Pinky could complete her last semester of college. In 1980, when they moved to Norman, Oklahoma, they began attending Central Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. In October, Daniel accepted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized. He enjoyed singing in the choir, attending bible studies, teaching the 2-3 year old class and playing dominoes with Ted Baker, C R Falls, Stephen McGilbary and Jim Murphy, Sr. Daniel was employed in many different areas. He was a jack of all trades and master of none. His last place of employment was Wal-Mart in Oklahoma City. Anyone who knew Daniel will remember how he liked to joke and tease. Many of the hospital employees came by to check on him in his last days, and the constant comment regarding Daniel was that smiling and pleasant no matter how much pain he was in. Daniel entered the Integris Baptist Hospital on November 2. Although he often spoke to getting to go home, he never saw his earthly home again. Daniel entered heaven on July 18, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pinky; son, Conchate; daughter, Kelli; three grandsons: Achena, Micco, and Sonny; four sisters: Stephanie Webster, Carroll Crowell, Josephine Sabo, and Mary Widen; and brothers, Ed Midkiff and Billy Loneia. He is also survived by his church family at Glorieta Baptist Church and a host of friends and relatives.
