Wynema Jeanne Kelly Patterson, age 84 of Oklahoma City, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018. She was born to the late Bob and Faye Kelly on October 31, 1933. Her Halloween birthday was one of her favorite things, and she enjoyed celebrating it by welcoming trick or treaters.

Jeanne attended Capitol Hill High School, graduating in 1951. She married Paul Quine in 1951 and they became the proud parents of daughter Joni Wells of Mustang, OK, and son Doug Quine of Oklahoma City, OK. An extremely giving person and an amazing cook, Jeanne’s favorite thing of all was making holidays extraordinary experiences for her family.

Jeanne worked for The Oklahoma Publishing Company, Sheffield Steel and the Oklahoma State House of Representatives. She later owned a local night club called The Alley Club on North May Avenue where she met then married William ‘Pat’ Patterson and they became the proud parents of daughter Kelly Wilkins of Edmond, OK, and son Trip Patterson of Yukon, OK. Jeanne was active in the community serving as a Cub Scout leader, a Girl Scout leader, and Cookie Chairman for Redlands Council. A fiercely independent career woman who also loved home activities such as gardening and planning remodeling projects, Jeanne excelled as a District Manager for Avon. In the 1980’s, she became Executive Assistant to Dale Mitchell at Citizens Bank, then Fidelity Bank. They eventually moved to Express Services Corporate Headquarters where she remained, until her retirement, an exceptionally dedicated employee of many years, her last position being Director of Printing and Promotions. At home Jeanne could be found watching TV, doing jigsaw puzzles, playing the organ, listening to country or piano music, and spending time with grandchildren.

Besides her four children, Jeanne is survived by her loving sons-in-law Mike Wells and Paul Wilkins, and daughter-in-law Kim Quine, as well as three younger sisters Joan Robinson of Dallas, TX, Daisy Norwood of McKinney, TX, Karen Baker of Pensacola, FL, and Karen’s husband Bill.

Famous for her sleepovers where Grandma Jeanne’s house had few rules, Jeanne is also survived by grandchildren Stephanie Misch of Austin, TX, Ashley Massegee of Edmond, OK, Cody Quine of Yukon, OK, Kylie Hageman of Oklahoma City, OK, and Kelsey Lambeth, Trey Patterson, and Keaton Patterson of Yukon, OK. Jeanne is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.

At her home, where the TV was always on, her children, their friends, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, neighbors and a long line of family pets found love and loyalty. Whatever Jeanne chose to do, she did it with complete devotion and she strove to become the best, most especially when it came to loving her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
