Linda Susan Gillespie died peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 5, 2018, just 5 days shy of her 71st birthday. She fought a hard but brief battle with cancer. Linda was born on November 10, 1947 in Antigo, WI to Kenneth Dowling & Dorothy (Dowling) Broussard. Linda served as the administrative assistant to the chair of mathematics at the University of Oklahoma until her retirement. Linda had a great passion for gardening, playing softball, and was an excellent cook. She loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, watching Criminal Minds, and listening to her favorite singer, Vince Gill. However, her greatest love was time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren Tyler and Olivia. Linda was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister & friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her:
Parents, Kenneth Dowling and Dorothy (Dowling) Broussard.

She is survived by her:
Son, Michael Gillespie;
Daughter, Heather Bumgarner;
Grandchildren, Tyler and Olivia Bumgarner;
Brothers, John Dowling & wife Barbara, and Lee Broussard & wife Teresa;
Sisters, Marta Gietzen & husband Bill; and Geni Dowling & husband Perry;
plus multiple family members including cousins, nieces and nephews, and treasured friends.
