Services will be 2 PM Friday in the South Colonial Chapel with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.


Kenneth Eugene Cowan entered Heaven’s gates on March 1, 2019 at the age of 73. The son of Kenneth and Elsie (Harbor) Cowan, Gene was born on February 17, 1946 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After graduating from Shawnee High School, Gene honorably served his county in the United States Army until August 31, 1971. After his honorable discharge, Gene settled down in Oklahoma City where he began working at Wonder Bread Bakery, where he worked as a maintenance engineer for many years. In his spare time, Gene enjoyed restoring old automobiles, especially his ’55 Chevy, and collecting handguns. He married his soulmate, Della Elizabeth Woolard, on December 14, 1987 and treated her family as his own. He was a man who knew how to make you laugh and will be deeply missed each day.

Daughter, Natalie Fletcher;
Step-son, Dalton Dulen;
Step-son, Tracy Lynn Marrs and his wife, Lori;
Many nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren & great grandchildren.
