Elnora T. Cullinan passed away April 28, 2019. The daughter of Robert L. and Nora C. Troxell was born December 6, 1930 in Cumberland, Maryland. After graduating from Allegany High School, she moved to Ohio where she received her undergraduate degree from Ohio University. She later attended the University of Iowa and received her Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. It is there that she met the love of her life, Walter L. Cullinan. They married June 2, 1959, and in 1965, together with their three children, made the move across the country and established a home in Oklahoma City. Elnora worked 20 years as a speech pathologist in the Putnam City school district. After her retirement, she pursued acting, which was one of her life long passions. She was in various plays around the Oklahoma City metro, most notably “Oklahoma” where she played Aunt Eller. One of the highlights from her acting years was performing in the award winning play, “Over the River.” The troupe performed in several competitions, Pennsylvania being the last. The cast then received an invitation to perform in Germany, which they excitedly accepted. During her retirement years, she was also able to devote more time to the Catholic Church and various charities. Something that made Elnora happy was swimming. Each year on her birthday, she would swim the number of laps that corresponded to her years in life. She did this up until her early 80s, and is the reason she chose her home at Spanish Cove, which boasted a large indoor swimming pool. She resided there until her death. Elnora was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Lovenberg, her husband Walter Cullinan, her parents Nora and Robert, her beloved sister Ann (REMEMBER), and her brother Robert. She is survived by her brother Ted, her three children Jeanne Austin and husband Jim of Norman, Oklahoma, her daughter Patricia Cullinan of Wagoner, Oklahoma, and son Andrew Cullinan of New York City, New York. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jesse Gary, Austin Gary, Megan Downum and her husband Chris, Keever Hoig, Abigail Hoig, and Cullin Hoig and leaves behind her two great grandchildren, Cade and Carly Downum.
