Obituary for Winfred Lynn "Winnie" Kerlick

Winfred Lynn Kerlick
September 29, 1935 to May 8, 2019

Winfred Lynn Kerlick passed peacefully at home on May 8, 2019. “Winnie” or ‘PawPaw” to most was born on September 29, 1935 to Gus and Edith Kerlick in Cogar, OK. Winnie had 4 brothers and 4 sisters and is survived by George Kerlick, Minco, OK, Jewell Clarkston, Richmond, TX and Leo Kerlick, Richmond, TX.

Winnie graduated from Binger High School in 1953. He was a retired Oklahoma City Police Officer and thoroughly enjoyed his career as a public servant. He also served several corporations as a fraud investigator after his service to Oklahoma City.

His passion was working with his brothers and sisters at Southwest Church of Christ where he proudly contributed as a Deacon and an Elder for many years.

He loved to garden and loved to share his cantaloupe, watermelons and tomatoes with everyone. He loved to root for the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the New York Yankees.

His unconditional love and commitment was to his family who will miss him very much. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Zella Kerlick, daughters Tanya Brown and husband Wes of Oklahoma City, Robin Kerlick of Oklahoma City and sons Michael Kerlick and wife Debbie of The Woodlands, TX and Mitch Kerlick and wife Lori of Oklahoma City.

Winnie has 6 grandchildren: Brent Wood and his wife Shana, Brittany Houck and husband Shawn, Meghan Lewis and husband Shane, Kylie Coley and husband Doug, Joshua Kerlick and Jenna Kerlick. PawPaw also loved his 9 great grandchildren.
